What is Micro needling?

At Dr Jaya Rao Aesthetics we use an automated Derma FNS pen. This is superior to the derma roller as the depth of needles and the even coverage of treatment areas is superior.
How does it work?
These tiny skin punctures help your skin to make more collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are the building blocks of the skin and give it elasticity making your skin look fresh and youthful.
Do you need an allergy test?
No, you do not need any allergy test.
What conditions can micro needling be beneficial for?
Micro needling can help for acne, hair loss, loss of skin elasticity, scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles and general skin toning.
How long does each procedure take?
20-30 minutes depending on the area treated.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied to the area treated for 20 minutes to numb skin prior to treatment. There is very little discomfort.
What are the benefits?
Micro needling can be cheaper than laser and can work better in darker skin tones as it does not involve heat the way laser treatments do which may lead to increased skin pigmentation.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on the reason for your treatment, it may take from 2-4 treatments to see a difference.
